Topcoats
Motocryl
Automotive Art 60-series is a two component system that offers superior durability and excellent coverage from only 20 tints in the colour range. The system also features a brilliant high gloss result without the need to apply a clearcoat, as well as the option for either air or force drying.
Motobase
Automotive Art 70-Line Basecoat system provides excellent coverage and colour matching ability in duplicating OEM solid, metallic and pearl effect colours. The system does not carry a hardener, thus providing colour only to surfaces painted with the Basecoat. Automotive Art Clear coat must then be applied to seal the paint, protect it from the environment and produce a high gloss finish.
Clearcoats
Automotive Art Clear Coats are scientifically developed using the state-of-the-art hydroxyacrylate resins to give a deep, glossy look in refinishing a vehicle, and offer excellent durability, chemical resistance and UV protection. The product line features both medium solid and high solid clears to meet requirements in both non-VOC compliant and VOC compliant markets.
Primers, Fillers & Putties
Automotive Art offers the most comprehensive range of preparation products on the market today. From our Flex additive which is formulated with special polymers that enable the use of Motocryl and Clear on semi-flexible plastics parts, to our matting agent which fosters gloss reduction, our range of ancillaries gets the job done.
Colour
Overview
Automotive Art takes colour matching very seriously, and takes pride in the ability to match over 115,000 colours using our state-of-the-art colour tools.
Automotive Art’s colour tools are designed to effectively find and match the correct colour for the job. Our colour box tool has over 7,000 colour swatches of actual paint spray-outs from our formulas. This tool alone can save up to 30 minutes in the process of matching a colour, while producing a highly accurate colour match. Our Motomix software will allow you to retrieve over 115,000 formulas covering ALL makes of vehicles including Asian, European and US brands. In addition, our Motomix software interfaces with mixing scales, and if over pouring occurs, can also re-calculate your formulas to ensure precise colour matching.
Colour Information
Experience has shown that colour variation is possible between model types with the same colour code due to production variation between OEM plants around the world. In an effort to maintain accurate colour matching in our formula database, colour samples are collected from around the world, inclusive of variants, which are then used in the development of our colour formulations. These formulas are then compiled into our Motomix software and distributed periodically during the year in an effort to maintain the best colour matching possible in the market.
