Am I Given Any Territorial Protection?

Yes. You will be granted an approved location and a protected territory under the terms of the franchise agreement.

Can I Sell My Automotive Art Franchise?

Yes. Like any other business, you can sell your operation to any buyer approved by the Company. There is a transfer fee for administrative, legal and training expenses to effect the transfer; and, if requested, we will offer your store for sale, for a sales fee.

Do I Receive Training From Automotive Art?

Yes. Franchisees must attend and successfully complete a training program provided by Automotive Art. The cost of this training is included in your initial franchise fee. Franchisees pay their own cost for transportation, lodging and meals.

How can I obtain an Automotive Art Franchise?

Fill out and submit the confidential ‘Get-Acquainted’ form. If you qualify, we can begin the process which will lead to your own Automotive Art store.

How much is the total investment needed to secure a franchise under your programme?

The investment varies from US$175,000 to US$750,000 depending on the store required to cater to the demographics of your market and site.

Do you offer a finance program?

We can assist you in outside financing for your inventory package, computer, furniture, equipment and initial working capital needs. However, each franchisee is welcome to arrange his or her own financing.

Do I buy my Inventory from you?

There are certain brand names and product requirements for inventory, which must be purchased from specific manufacturers and distributors, or from Automotive Art. Whenever possible, we will use the combined purchasing strength of our chain to affect purchasing economies that will benefit your store and the entire operation.

How long does my franchise last?

The initial term is 10 years, after which you may renew for two additional 5-year terms subject to the then current terms, with no additional franchise fee charged.

What is the charge for the continuing royalty fee?

The royalty fee is 5% of the monthly net revenues (exclusive of any sales tax).

What form of continuing operational guidance will I receive?

You will receive the Automotive Art Operational Manual to help you with day-to-day operations; on-going purchasing services; our system for tight financial and inventory controls; our technical assistance; and our guidance on all promotional, operational and business problems.

What about advertising?

Each franchised Automotive Art store contributes 1% of net revenues to the Automotive Art advertising and promotional fund.  In addition, each Automotive Art franchised store will spend up to 2% of net revenues on local advertising programs under the guidance and approval of headquarters.

Is it possible to secure a development contract initially for more than one store?

Yes.  We will offer multi-unit operations provided you meet our financial operational and management qualifications, in addition to meeting a reasonable development schedule for the number of stores contracted.

How much can I expect to earn?

Your potential profit will depend on a number of factors, such as your location, the amount of effort invested in the business, how good a business person you are, and marketing conditions.  Naturally, as in any business venture, there is no guarantee as to success and profitability.  But we help minimize your risk by giving you the benefit of a well-organized system and concept, and our many years of experience.

I would like to study your Franchise Agreement.  Will you send me one?

Our Franchise Agreement was developed by attorneys and specialists in franchising and is a valued document that we do not indiscriminately distribute.  However, once you have had a personal meeting with our Vice President of Franchising, we will be happy to provide you with a copy of the Franchise Agreement.

First, fill out the confidential “Get-Acquainted” form and submit it to us.  Upon receipt, you will be contacted to set up a personal meeting.  At this time, a mutual evaluation takes place, and once all requirements have been met, we will then begin assisting you in the development of the franchise.
